Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Schedule

This position requires a 12-hour rotating shift with both day and night shifts. A minimum of every other weekend is required, with a flexible schedule to meet unit needs. Travelers must also work two out of four major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a large teaching facility. This role emphasizes adaptability and commitment to patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage emergency situations effectively and efficiently.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
• Prior experience in larger (500+ bed) teaching facilities is preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure.
• Current certifications in AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• Experience with EPIC EMR within the past 2 years is required.
