Day shift, 5 days a week from 08:30 AM to 05:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Job Description

The General Cardiology Medical Assistant will support a cardiology clinic by assisting healthcare providers with patient care tasks and ensuring smooth clinical operations. The position involves chart preparation, telephone triage, and managing authorization forms.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs.
• Performing 12 lead EKG/ECG.
• Handling authorization forms and insurance verifications.
• Managing pharmacy calls and patient refill requests.
• Maintaining patient charts and performing telephone triage.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant; cardiology or primary care setting experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must have experience with EPIC charting system.
• Must have a GED or higher.
• Float within the scope to meet facility needs is required, with the potential to travel to satellite clinics.
