Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer

Location

This position is located in a community hospital setting.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule (07:30 - 15:00) with rotating weekends, approximately every 4 weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer with experience in adult echocardiograms, including advanced procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of echo techniques and a commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult echocardiograms, including 2-D, 3-D, and Doppler imaging.
• Conduct bubble studies and imaging with contrast agents.
• Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and stress echocardiograms.
• Utilize Philips equipment and manage PACS effectively.
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards in echocardiogram practices.
• Float between primary and secondary campuses as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography, preferably in a community hospital setting.
• Current certifications: ARDMS-RDCS (AE) or CCI-RCS, BLS.
• Experience with GE or Philips echo equipment is required.
• Experience with transesophageal echocardiograms is preferred.
• Knowledge of Impella checks and LVAD procedures is a plus.
