12-hour Day shifts, typically from 7 AM to 7 PM, with weekend and holiday requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PCU Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a progressive care unit. You will be responsible for monitoring patients with complex cardiac and medical issues and administering treatments as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care and monitor vital signs for patients with acute coronary syndrome and other complex conditions.
• Administer medications, including insulin drips and cardiac drips, as required.
• Assist in procedures such as post-cardiac catheterizations and electrical cardioversion.
• Ensure compliance with telemetry monitoring protocols.
• Participate in patient education and support activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a PCU or similar setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification is also required prior to start.
• Experience with telemetry practices within the last 2 years is mandatory.
