Cath Lab Registered Nurse - Day 4x10-Hour Schedule

Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:00 - 17:00) with on-call requirements.

Job Description

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in an acute hospital setting, focusing on diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The nurse will be responsible for patient assessment, monitoring during procedures, and ensuring adherence to infection prevention protocols. The position requires the ability to float to the Electrophysiology (EP) or Interventional Radiology (IR) labs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performing catheterization procedures and monitoring patient status.
• Administering medications and monitoring procedural sedation.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Utilizing various medical equipment including Impella, balloon pumps, and lasers.
• Executing infection prevention measures to ensure patient safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Active RN license in Alaska is mandatory for auto offer.
• Proficiency in relevant skills such as angioplasty, sheath removal, and monitoring procedural sedation is preferred.
