Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) / Day shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) with night and day rotation as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients in the cardiac stepdown unit. This role involves monitoring and managing patients post-operatively or after procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the cardiac stepdown unit.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and ECG rhythms.
• Administer medications and manage infusion therapy.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams regarding patient status and care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 18 months of permanent experience in Cardiac Stepdown.
• AHA BLS & ACLS certifications required.
• NIH certification required.
• Current Ohio RN license or compact state license is mandatory.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment required during orientation with acceptable scores.
