Nursing Home Registered Nurse

Schedule

Day shifts (6am-2:30pm) with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Job Description

The Nursing Home Registered Nurse position assists with day-to-day nursing activities. This is an important role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Timely communication to physicians, families, etc. of significant changes in resident condition.
• Complete all applicable resident assessments.
• Complete medication administration while following the 5 Rights.
• Perform wound care and assessments as needed.
• Assist CNAs with answering call lights.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition.
• Act as leader on the floor by assessing and directing situations as needed.
• Report any allegations of abuse, neglect or misappropriation to Director of Nursing and Administrator.
• Maintain accurate resident records with thorough and accurate charting.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree preferred.
• Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
