Surgical Technologist - Open-Heart Experience

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of recent Open-Heart experience. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, holding a BLS certification, while a CST certification is preferred but not required. The position will involve assisting in General Surgery as needed when CVOR volumes are low.

Schedule

This is a day shift position consisting of either four (4) 10-hour days or five (5) 8-hour shifts from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. The Surgical Technologist will be required to take call at least 2-3 days a week, with weekend call starting Friday evening through Monday morning until 7 AM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
• BLS certification required; CST preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Open-Heart experience
• Excellent critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of central processing and instrumentation

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
