Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a strong emphasis on charge capabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient care in a high-paced environment that includes a diverse patient demographic, including pediatrics and adults. The nurse will utilize specialized equipment and technologies to effectively care for patients presenting with a variety of critical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
• Manage patient assessments, interventions, and evaluations.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• Assist in the triage of patients in collaboration with the medical team.
• Float as needed within the department and adapt to varying patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active NY RN License and verification through NURSYS.
• 2+ years of experience in an Emergency Department with pediatrics experience.
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (with certification in hand).
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
• 2 recent references from ED Charge or Manager RNs.
• Valid driver's license with a current address matching the demographic information.
