Day shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with flexible scheduling.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with pediatric experience to join a fast-paced, supportive environment. You will care for patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics. Responsibilities will include triage, patient assessment, and management of various acute medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in the Emergency Department.
• Triage and assess patients for immediate care needs.
• Manage acute conditions, including strokes, sepsis, trauma, and cardiac events.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusors and Arctic Sun.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient outcomes.
• Float to other areas as needed based on staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting, with pediatric exposure.
• Current AHA certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC in hand required).
• Active RN license in New York and all relevant nursing licenses.
• Submission of NURSYS Report for license verification.
• Previous travel experience is required.
• EMR experience with EPIC is necessary.
• Two recent references from ED Charge/Manager RN.
