Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Job Description

We are a 65-chair Outpatient Infusion Center providing intravenous treatments to a varied patient population. The Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering compassionate, high-quality care to patients undergoing infusion therapy.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and other intravenous medications as prescribed.
• Monitor patients for side effects and respond appropriately.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and care requirements.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Oncology nursing.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Chemo Certification is mandatory.
• Experience with Oncology and Bone Marrow Transport preferred.
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR system is an advantage.

Winter Holiday Expectations

MUST work 1 major holiday from the following:

• Christmas Day
• New Year's Day

AND 1 minor holiday from the following:

• Christmas Eve
• New Year's Eve
