Day shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Floating is required, with block scheduling not guaranteed.

Job Description

The Critical Care Float Pool RN will provide care across various critical care units within the hospital, with the exception of Psych and ED units. Nurses may float to Medical-Surgical units and manage patient assignments of 6-7 patients. Patients may include those diagnosed with strokes, sepsis, respiratory failure, CHF, and post-operative recovery from surgical interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients.
• Maintain patient safety and advocate for patient needs.
• Perform assessments and develop care plans.
• Request and utilize specialty equipment as necessary, including IABP, CRRT, and ICP monitoring.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications are required.
• Active NY RN license must be presented at the time of submission.
• NURSYS report for license verification with all active RN licenses is required.
