Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30), with weekend coverage every third week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the PCU will provide comprehensive care for patients in a progressive care setting with an emphasis on cardiac telemetry. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring and managing critically ill patients, administering medications, and conducting patient assessments.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessment and develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including cardiac monitoring.
• Administer medications, including titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Manage IV therapies, including peripheral and PICC line care.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
• Respond to changes in patient status and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with previous charge experience preferred.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (preferred).
• Experience with cardiac telemetry and management of dysrhythmias.
• Ability to float as needed between various units.
