• Day Shift: 4x10-Hour (06:45 - 17:15)
• Night Shift: 4x10-Hour (20:45 - 07:15)
• Weekend Coverage: Every Other Weekend

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room will provide care in a Level I adult and pediatric trauma center and regional burn center. The role involves working with various service lines except for cardiac, robotics, and transplant, with a focus on ortho, spine, and neuro specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room unit.
• Circumvent and assist in surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff.
• Monitor patient vitals and assist with anesthesia delivery as required.
• Document patient care and operate within facility guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Participate in shift rotations, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room setting.
• Experience in a Level II trauma center is required; Level I trauma center experience is preferred.
• Specialized experience in neurology and orthopedic procedures is strongly preferred.
• Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred.
• Ability to scrub is preferred.
