Job Description

This role involves caring for pediatric and occasionally adult patients in a MedSurg/Stepdown unit. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions and assisting with treatments for various diagnoses such as respiratory issues and IV antibiotic administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for pediatric patients, including those with biliary issues and respiratory problems.
• Assist with outpatient lab collections and perform straight catheterization.
• Monitor patient health and collaborate with pediatric staff and hospitalists.
• Participate in shift changes and provide care coordination.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and PALS certifications preferred; NRP is also beneficial.
• Experience in a similar pediatric nursing environment is ideal.
• License to practice nursing required.
