Job Description

The Surgical Assistant performs a wide variety of duties to assist the circulator and surgeon in the care of the surgical patient. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for patients at all times under the direction of qualified operating room personnel. The position includes an on-call component, and compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon and circulator in surgical procedures.
• Ensure a sterile environment is maintained during surgical operations.
• Adhere to safety regulations and protocols at all times.
• Participate in on-call duties as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Qualifications will include relevant experience in surgical assistance and any necessary certifications specific to the role.
