Day shifts, 4-10 hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30).

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional care to patients in the PreOperative and PostAnesthesia Care Unit settings. The nurse will be expected to collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and high-quality service before and after surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ health status and readiness for surgery.
• Monitor patients before and after anesthesia and surgery.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies.
• Educate patients and their families on pre and post-operative care.
• Implement safety protocols and infection control measures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months recent PACU experience.
• Must have a valid Permanent Ohio License or Compact State License in hand.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• PBDS assessment - waived; ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate to be completed during orientation with an acceptable score required.
