Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires a solid background in interventional radiology procedures, including patient care before, during, and after treatments. The ideal candidate will have experience in a trauma setting and proficiency in various technical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and monitoring during interventional procedures.
• Assist with procedural sedation recovery and conscious sedation management.
• Utilize advanced equipment for monitoring vital signs and procedural support.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform advanced nursing procedures, including sheath removal and vascular closure.
• Participate in call rotation as required, averaging 1-2 times per week.
• Float between main campus and specialized facilities as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1.5 years of Level I Trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience; experience in a stroke center preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Experience with EKOS and procedural wedge pressures highly preferred.
• Ability to manage IV therapy and initiate/monitor moderate sedation.
