Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30) - Monday to Thursday (Closed on Fridays)

Job Description

The RN Surgical Short Stay/Observation role involves working in a six bay 23-hour observation unit inside a surgery center PACU. This unit cares for a variety of patients and services, including Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, and Gastroenterology. The pre/post RN collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR nurses to provide safe and effective patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre/post-operative care for patients undergoing various procedures.
• Perform medication reconciliation and IV therapy, including starting and maintaining IVs.
• Conduct comprehensive airway assessments and manage patient care during conscious sedation, general anesthesia, and local anesthesia.
• Interpret and communicate lab values effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant clinical settings.
• Active SC or Multi State/Compact RN License.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
