Job Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures focusing on patient care and safety. This includes managing radioactive materials, conducting scans, and working closely with both patients and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, thyroid studies, and cardiac imaging.
• Starting and maintaining IVs for patient procedures.
• Store, handle, and dispose of radioactive materials safely according to regulations.
• Provide care to patients across all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Participate in on-call duties, which will require floating between Monroe and Hickman facilities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) preferred.
• Experience with procedures such as gastric emptying, HIDA scan, and lung ventilation/perfusion scans.
• Ability to work with Epic electronic health records.
