Job Description

The Emergency Department at Springfield Hospital operates 24/7 and treats approximately 14,000 patients annually. Nurses will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, prioritizing care based on severity, and implementing appropriate treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and screenings for patients arriving at the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with physicians and physician assistants to determine treatment plans.
• Provide critical care as necessary based on patient condition and needs.
• Document patient care and monitor health statuses throughout each shift.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of current Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting.
• 3 months of minimum travel experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• All certifications (ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS) must be current and uploaded with the profile.
• Must possess a valid Vermont nursing license.
