Nights, 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:15 AM, with every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides direct care to patients using the nursing process, including ongoing assessment and interventions based on the physician's plan of care. The RN functions as a team leader/member and resource, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to establish goals and outcomes for each patient while overseeing and providing direction to support staff.

Responsibilities

• Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's plan of care.
• Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, education, and assistance with transfers.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment plan and collaborate with team members to revise it as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of RN experience.
• Neuro PCU experience is required.
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Recent traveler experience is highly preferred.
