Registered Nurse - Operating Room

This position is located in a Level I Trauma facility.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:00 - 17:30). Call required with weekend coverage every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures. The nurse will function independently in all specialties including Robotics, Orthopedics, General, GYN, Urology, Bariatrics, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, and Thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart). Experience in a teaching hospital and familiarity with the Epic charting system are essential.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for a variety of surgical procedures.
• Administer care and monitor patients during operations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control procedures.
• Participate in the clinical decision-making process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Operating Room, with at least 2 years post-orientation.
• Experience in a Level II Trauma facility required; Level I Trauma experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience with the Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system is required; familiarity with the DV5 robotic system is a plus.
• Must have experience in all designated specialties listed above.
