Night shift: 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to adult and pediatric patients, with a focus on critical care. Candidates should have experience in adult critical care and be proficient in various respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy to patients, including medication delivery systems and oxygen therapy.
• Perform arterial punctures and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Manage ventilators and troubleshoot high-pressure alarms.
• Care for patients with a range of conditions including ARDS, COVID, and pneumonia.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and intubation procedures.
• Deliver care in high acuity environments, including Adult ICU and Stepdown units.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in adult critical care.
• Current certifications: BLS, RRT (with South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider license).
• Experience with EPIC or Cerner charting systems is preferred.
