Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to work in a high-acuity environment within our Freestanding Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive respiratory care across diverse patient populations, including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care for patients.
• Administer prescribed respiratory therapy treatments and medications.
• Perform diagnostic tests, including ABG draws and spirometry.
• Manage ventilator settings and troubleshoot high-pressure alarms.
• Provide care for patients with conditions such as ARDS, COVID-19, and cystic fibrosis.
• Assist in emergency procedures including intubation and tracheostomy care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in adult critical care.
• Active RRT license in South Carolina.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, NRP, and PALS preferred.
• Experience with Epic preferred.
• No prior travel experience required; first-timers not accepted.
