Shift: 3 PM - 3 AM, every other weekend.

Job Description

Under general supervision, the Computed Tomography Technologist specializes in performing computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients and may also perform general diagnostic radiology examinations. This role involves preparing patients for examinations, reviewing clinical data, and ensuring high-quality imaging processes.

Responsibilities

• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
• Review clinical data and perform appropriate examinations; obtain necessary medical history.
• Prepare procedure room and replenish stock such as linen and necessary supplies.
• Analyze patient's anatomical structure and perform CT scans using the equipment.
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for potential reactions.
• Assist Radiologist in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
• Ensure radiation protection principles are observed during imaging procedures.
• Manage PACS and RIS effectively, including resolving image exceptions and study indexing.
• Demonstrate team standards including communication, respect, and teamwork.
• Document essential information in the medical record and within the radiology information system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and possesses an advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or is registry-eligible.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience required.
