Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg unit will provide high-quality patient care for adults and geriatrics. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:6 and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver effective patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, including Heparin and Insulin.
• Provide care for patients with colostomy and feeding tubes.
• Perform wound care and management.
• Manage IV therapy, including starting and maintaining IVs.
• Conduct respiratory care, including non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration.
• Assist with the management of patients requiring high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy.
• Float within allocated units as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• 24 months nursing experience preferred for first-time travelers.
• BLS certification required; CPI certification preferred.
• Experience with blood product administration and central line care preferred.
