Night shift: 4x12 hours (18:30 - 07:00). Rotating weekends as needed.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts. This role involves providing care to stroke and surgery patients, requiring proficiency in various medical procedures including IV therapy and respiratory management. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring capabilities and emphasizes teamwork with interdisciplinary support.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in a medical-surgical setting.
• Administer medications and manage IVs, including PICC lines.
• Perform respiratory treatments and manage chest tubes.
• Conduct wound care and maintain isolation precautions.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and pharmacy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1-year experience; first-time travelers are welcome.
• Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS.
• Preferred skills include IV therapy, phlebotomy, colostomy care, and feeding tube management.
