Schedule

Day shift, working 5 days a week from 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM. Note: This position will work Sunday-Wednesday the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's instead of Monday-Friday.

Job Description

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering radiation therapy treatments to patients, adhering to protocols and procedures. This role requires skill in the use of treatment planning systems and techniques related to various types of cancer treatments. The incumbent will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients across various age groups.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments according to prescribed plans.
• Utilize ARIA and Epic charting systems for documentation.
• Coordinate and assist in pre-treatment processes including CT simulation and tumor localization.
• Provide emergency treatment as required for various cancer diagnoses.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Current certifications: ARRT R, BLS, and OH.
• Experience with treatment planning systems, particularly Eclipse (Varian), is preferred.
• Familiarity with treatment units including Varian TrueBeam and Siemens is preferred.
