Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00), rotating every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a community hospital setting, with hands-on skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care to adult patients in a medical-surgical unit.
• Supervise and support nursing assistants and nursing students.
• Administer medications including heparin, insulin, PCA, and perform peripheral line care/management.
• Maintain proper charting using the Epic system.
• Implement isolation precautions and ensure patient safety.
• Float to like units or assist in unlike units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in a medical-surgical nursing role.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:6.
