Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have a minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience. First time travelers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients within the Med/Surg unit.
• Manage a patient load with a ratio of 1:6 during each shift.
• Perform essential nursing duties including but not limited to IV therapy, phlebotomy, and wound care.
• Administer medications including Heparin and Insulin as ordered.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Float to like units as required, maintaining flexibility in care delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience required.
• BLS certification is required; CPI certification preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is desired.
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and respiratory management preferred.
• Knowledge in gastrointestinal and neurological care practices is a plus.
