Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg unit with a daily census of 25 patients and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. This role involves working as part of an interdisciplinary team while delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications including Heparin, Insulin, and PCA.
• Manage blood product administration and IV therapy.
• Provide wound care and management including the use of wound vacs.
• Implement isolation precautions as needed.
• Perform telemetry and cardiac monitoring.
• Oversee pre/post-hemodialysis management.
• Assist with gastrointestinal care, including colostomy and feeding tube management.
• Float within the scope of practice as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Preferred experience with Epic charting system.
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and wound care management are preferred.
