Operating Room Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 06:45 to 19:15.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Operating Room with a minimum of two years of circulator experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing various surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures across various specialties including general surgery, orthopedic, urology, and pulmonary.
• Manage patient care preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including infection control and universal protocol procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new staff when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of circulator experience in an Operating Room setting.
• 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.
• Charge experience is preferred.
• Experience in teaching hospitals and community hospitals is preferred.
