Job Description

We are seeking a certified or registered Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional patient care within a critical access hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with a diverse respiratory therapy patient population and proficiency in managing ventilators and other respiratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
• Monitor and manage ventilators, including neonatal and pediatric populations.
• Perform appropriate assessments and interventions for patients ranging from newborns to the elderly.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment use.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in respiratory therapy.
• Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or eligibility to take the NBRC written exam.
• Vermont state licensure as a respiratory care practitioner required.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications required; PALS certification preferred.
• Experience in NICU within the last year is necessary.
• Epic documentation experience from the past 2 years is required.
