Day and Night 3x12-Hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00 or 19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description

The Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse will provide essential nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. This role requires a skilled professional to manage a daily census of 22 patients, ensuring high-quality care amidst various patient diagnoses including Dementia, COPD, and more.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient progress and changes in condition.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience in Long Term Care nursing preferred.
• Current Alaska RN license in hand is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Preferred experience with IV therapy and respiratory skills.
• Patient ratios: Days 1:21, Nights 1:21, Weekends 1:21.
