Registered Nurse - Orthopedics (MS/Tele)

Location

This position is available in a facility located in the specified region, 70+ miles from the candidate's permanent address.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts are available in a 3x12-hour schedule, from 18:45 to 07:15.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in MS/Tele with an emphasis on Orthopedics, providing comprehensive care to patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in managing dysrhythmias, IV therapy, and bedside monitoring, utilizing the Epic charting system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, activating rapid response as needed.
• Administer medications, including blood products and manage heparin protocols.
• Provide care for patients with orthopedic diagnoses including trauma and total joint replacements.
• Manage peripheral and central lines, and perform phlebotomy as required.
• Implement isolation precautions and wound care procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; MS/Ortho experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience using electronic charting systems, specifically Epic.
• Ability to float to similar units as required.
