Job Description

The Emergency Department is open 24/7 and serves approximately 14,000 patient visits annually. As an Emergency Department Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patients' conditions, providing immediate care, and determining the appropriate course of treatment based on severity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and triage based on severity of condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding care and treatment options.
• Participate in emergency response and disaster drills.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of current Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting.
• 3 months minimum travel experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS.
• Vermont state license in hand.
• Must have own vehicle for travel.
