Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides and administers all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment as stated in the Department Policy and Procedure Manual. This role is under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services and involves working collaboratively with medical personnel to ensure patients receive exceptional care.

Responsibilities

• Providing respiratory therapy under medical direction, including education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
• Assisting with intubation and managing ventilator setups.
• Gathering necessary information to evaluate patients' needs and providing education on disease management.
• Developing rapport with patients, caregivers, and team members to support goal achievement.
• Documenting education provided to patients and caregivers based on identified needs.
• Adhering to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.
• Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license.
• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
