Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:30 - 08:00); Every other weekend required; Holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team for the winter contract. This role involves providing care in a fast-paced environment, supporting patients through labor and delivery processes, and ensuring optimal outcomes for both mothers and infants. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patient status, administering medications, and maintaining comprehensive records.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health and progress of mothers and infants during labor.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as needed.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Active MD RN license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE.
• Previous experience in a charge nurse role is preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records, specifically Epic, preferred.
