Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Float Nurse to work across our High-Intensity Care Unit (HICU), Brain Health Unit (BHU), and Long-Term Care Ventilator Unit (Burk 2). The position requires floating to various units, providing care for critically ill patients and those requiring specialized interventions. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in acute care settings and the ability to adapt to diverse patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients across multiple units, including HICU, BHU, and Burk 2.
• Monitor patient status and implement nursing interventions effectively.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
• Manage complex medical cases and utilize specialty equipment when necessary.
• Assist with rehabilitation services and patient activities on the BHU.
• Implement patient care plans and ensure proper documentation in Cerner.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and ventilator care is preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential.
• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license required at the time of submission.
