General Information:

Join our Medical/Surgical unit in a dynamic and energetic atmosphere where teamwork and patient care are our top priorities. We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) who thrives in a supportive environment and is ready to contribute to our success.

Unit Details:

• Day Shift Staffing: 1 Charge Nurse, 7 RNs, 3 PCTs, and 1-3 Sitters
• Night Shift Staffing: 1 Charge Nurse, 7 RNs, 3 PCTs, and 1-3 Sitters
• Patient Ratios: 6:1 (low acuity), surge to 7:1 (rare)
• EMR: Meditech

Typical Procedures:

• Full assessment and Q8 focused assessments
• Administration of IV antibiotics
• Bladder scans
• Discharge education
• Admission assessments

Qualifications:

Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role:

• Ability to manage a 6:1 patient ratio
• Strong time management skills

Preferred: Candidates with these additional skills will be prioritized:

• Experience in teamwork
• Familiarity with Meditech

Our Med/Surg unit prides itself on being supportive and team-focused, with a low patient acuity typically allowing for manageable shifts. We encourage self-scheduling and guarantee 4 requested days off per 4-week schedule period. The management is highly energetic and always available to assist staff, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
