Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse (RN) – Nationwide Contracts
Assignment Type: Travel Contract / Local Contract

Job Description:

As a Travel CVOR RN, you will play a critical role in assisting with complex cardiac surgeries, including open-heart procedures, vascular surgeries, and other cardiovascular interventions. You’ll work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure a sterile, efficient, and safe operating environment from pre-op through post-op transition.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation and care of patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures
Scrub and circulate during open-heart and vascular surgeries
Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and surgical protocols
Monitor patient status intraoperatively and support the surgical team with instruments and supplies
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with hospital standards
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and post-op recovery

Requirements:

Active RN license (Compact license preferred)
BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR or CVOR certifications preferred
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a CVOR or high-acuity OR setting
Proficient in scrub and circulate roles specific to cardiac and vascular surgeries
Strong critical thinking and surgical anticipation skills in high-pressure environments
