Telemetry Nurse - Inpatient Overflow Unit

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Telemetry Nurse to join our dynamic inpatient overflow unit. This unit specializes in providing care for patients with mixed levels of medical surgical and step-down needs, accommodating short-stay patients with a target length of stay of 24 hours.

Shift Details

• Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Guaranteed Hours: Contract Weeks: 91

Unit Information

• Location: Mission Main Campus, D Corridor, City, State
• Floor: 2nd Floor (D2)
• Number of Beds: 20
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 to 1:6, depending on level of care
• Type of Equipment: Telemetry; all patients hardwired to bedside monitors
• EMR: Cerner

Staffing Information

• Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
• Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • Telemetry competency
  • Progressive Care experience
• Preferred Skills:
  • Recent progressive care experience
• Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS

Weekend and On-Call Requirements

Every other weekend is required; there is no on-call duty.

Additional Information

Travelers may be required to float to other units if needed. Please adhere to the dress code of navy and/or white top, navy bottoms, and all-white shoes.
