Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Position

Shift Details

This position requires a 3x12-hour day shift schedule:

• Day Shift: 07:00 - 19:00
• Day Shift: 11:00 - 23:00

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a similar role, with necessary certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. Our ER operates with a patient ratio of 1:5, accommodating mixed and shared acuity levels.

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Charting System: Experience in Epic preferred
• Willing to float when census warrants
• Every other weekend availability is required

Required Skills

• General Emergency Department skills (Adult/Pedi)
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Blood product administration and central line care/management
• Phlebotomy and starting IVs
• Administration of continuous IV paralytics and sedation
• Emergency medications and IV vasopressors
• Procedural sedation administration
• CVA management and isolation precautions

Unit Details

• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Daily Census: 64 with approximately 145 visits per day
• Number of Rooms: 34
• Number of Beds: 71

Facility Offerings

• Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Preferred scrubs: Any combination of navy and white

Mandatory Information

• Pending Licenses: Not accepted
• Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted
• Minimum RTO is required
