ER Registered Nurse (RN) - 3x12 Hour Day Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ER Registered Nurse (RN) to join our exceptional emergency department team. This position will involve working a 3x12 hour day shift from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced emergency room setting.
• Manage and assess patients with mixed/shared acuity levels.
• Perform critical interventions, including blood product administration, starting IVs, and managing dysrhythmias.
• Participate in the administration of emergency medications and procedural sedation.
• Float to various departments as needed when census warrants.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Active NY RN license required.
• Minimum of 1 year of ER RN experience.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Competence in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and perform phlebotomy.
• Flexible schedule with minimal requested time off (RTO).

• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Daily Census: Approximately 64 patients
• Number of Beds: 71
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics

Additional Information
