Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP), Labor and Delivery (L&D), postpartum, and newborn care. The ideal candidate will float as needed within the unit and demonstrate proficiency in a variety of essential nursing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Care for patients with diagnoses including Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn.
• Perform special procedures such as Vaginal Deliveries, Cesarean Deliveries, and circulation in the operating room.
• Administer medications and blood/blood products as needed; manage drains, epidural pumps, and PCA pumps.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care through skilled assessments, interventions, and patient education.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in LDRP, L&D, Postpartum, and Newborn care.
• Required Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BCLS, and NRP.
• Ability to float as needed within the unit.
• Proficient in charting systems, preferably Epic.
• Experience in handling high-risk cases and necessary interventions.

Patient Care and Unit Details:

• Daily census and patient demographic range: Infants to Adults.
• Staff-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1-3.
• Unit features include comprehensive care for high-risk antepartum and L&D patients.

Compliance Requirements:

• Current WA license or compact license is required.
• Proof of permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility is necessary.
• Must complete a prescreen questionnaire and provide supervisory references.
