Job Opportunity: Circulating RN (Pediatrics, Adults & Geriatrics)

Position Details

Join our healthcare team as a Circulating RN in a dynamic short-term acute care facility. This position offers the opportunity to work in a teaching environment with diverse patient demographics, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. You will provide high-quality care while working closely with an interdisciplinary team.

Shift Information

• Type of Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:30 AM - 03:00 PM)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week (Facility may call off up to 6 times throughout a 13-week assignment)
• On Call Requirements: 8 call shifts/month, including weekends (20-minute response time required)
• Holiday Policy: Traveler can request one holiday off; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Job Responsibilities

As a Circulating RN, you will be responsible for:

• Providing patient care and supporting surgical teams across various specialties.
• Circulating in the OR for orthopedic, general, OB/Gyn, urology, vascular, endoscopic, and plastics cases.
• Collaborating with the surgery team to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
• Maintaining patient safety and adhering to standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an OR RN; previous charge experience preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CNOR preferred.
• Skills:
  • Must have proficiency in 3s and 4s in Orthopedics.
  • Experience with abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, appendectomy, arthroscopy, and more.
• Education: Active RN license; pending licenses may be accepted prior to assignment start date.
• Charting Experience: Proficient in Cerner; experience with a trauma Level IV facility preferred.

• Average Daily Census: 15-20 OR cases and 15-20 endo cases
• Interdisciplinary Support: Includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, among others.
