Job Description: Night Nurse - 3x12-Hour Shifts

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Night Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including neuro PCU experience, and be flexible with scheduling. This position requires a passionate individual committed to providing exceptional patient care.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Schedule: Every other weekend, floating required across multiple facilities as needed.
• Mandatory Holiday Coverage: Must work one holiday and one evening during the holiday period.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to medical neurological patients in a 30-bed progressive care unit.
• Manage and monitor patients with various neurological conditions including stroke, seizure disorders, and traumatic brain injury.
• Administer and manage cardiac drips and non-invasive airway management.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring to ensure patient safety and respond to emergencies effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in nursing, preferably in Neuro PCU; first-time travelers are welcome.
• Certifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Epic charting system and EKG monitoring.
• Additional Skills: Experience with central line management, CPAP/BiPAP, tracheostomy management, and TR Band use.

Compliance & Requirements

• MUST pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance; two attempts allowed.
• Local candidates (within 50 miles) not eligible for submission.
• Education verification through a third party is required.
• Valid nursing license required upon submission.
