Job Title: Contract RN - Emergency Room

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position in the Emergency Room. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while providing essential care to patients in need. The position is for a duration of 13 weeks with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department (ED).
• Perform critical assessments and develop nursing care plans for trauma, cardiac, and behavioral health patients.
• Utilize advanced equipment and technology in patient care.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Support trauma care procedures, including airway management and resuscitation efforts.
• Assist with behavioral health de-escalation techniques.

Unit Information:

• Location: Emergency Services Department
• Number of Beds: 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 Fast track, 5 behavioral health.
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 ED, 1:5 BH, 1:3 cardiac/trauma.
• Staff Numbers: Day Shift Charge +11, available mid-shifts, 2 PCTs, 1 Paramedic, 1 LVN.

Qualifications:

• Mandatory Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS.
• Preferred Skills: Meditech experience and trauma experience.
• Holding inpatient experience and CPI certification is an advantage.
