Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Step Down (CIMU)

Shift Type: 12H Night Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Step Down Unit (CIMU) team. This position involves providing high-quality care for patients with cardiac conditions in a fast-paced, acute care environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required
• Active VA/Compact License required at time of submission
• Prior travel experience is required

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
• Familiarity with vital signs machines, glucometers, SCDs, bladder scanners, vein finders, remote telemetry, wound vacs, IV pumps, pulse oximeters, chest tubes, tube feeding pumps (Kangaroo), and oxygen delivery devices

Patient Population

The position will involve working with patients in a cardiac CIMU setting, handling a variety of cardiac diagnoses and acuity levels.

Additional Information

• Start dates occur every other Monday, with the next available date on 10/20.
• All credentialing materials must be submitted one week prior to the start date.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved prior to acceptance.
• Local travelers residing within 60 miles will not be accepted.
• Cancellation by the client may occur up to 36 hours prior to the assignment due to census needs.
• This facility is a teaching hospital; therefore, you will frequently work alongside students and new hires, contributing to a supportive learning environment.
